Le Lac is
situated in the small village of Seignalens on the border of the Aude
and Arriege, near Mirepoix. Surrounded by forest, fields and of course the lake itself
which is fed by a number of small streams. The
environment is very peaceful and protected from atmospheric pollution
and as night falls, one is dazzled by the spectacle of the
evening sky with all its stars and constellations displayed in all
their glory.
The totality of silence is simply remarkable. The natural sounds of the wind rustling through the trees, the chorus of frogs and other wildlife resonate with everyone who visits.
The main house is elevated with a view of the lake and farther in the distance the French Pyrennees. The site has been constructed according to the principles of Indian Vastu Shastra which creates an architecture that promotes peace and well being within those present at Le Lac. An ambiance of equilibrium facilitates deeper interior exploration.
The meeting-room (100 square meters) in the house looks out over the lake and the surrounding forests and fields and the large picture windows provide ample light for any activity. With an entirely new solid wood floor this room is an excellent venue for any number of workshops and seminars including group meetings like yoga, meditation, chi-kung, tai-chi, dance, feldenkrais, painting, drawing, sculpture, theater and song.
We can accommodate professional associations and groups as well as individuals. The capacity is approximately 20 people. We provide:
Adjacent to the great room is a comfortable living room with sofa, chairs, coffee table and a small library in case the need arises for taking a break or just relaxing. The dining room has a capacity of 25. Outdoors, a large terrace is available with tables and umbrellas so you may take advantage of the outstanding weather.
